Auchan will improve its replenishment to stores using Aldata's solution
Filed in archive Implementation on November 6, 2006
Auchan will improve its replenishment to stores, using G.O.L.D. Topase from global retail solutions provider, Aldata, in its French warehousing operations.
According to Retail Bulletin, the pilot is planned to be completed in 2006 with full rollout in 2007, and is a test case for adoption in the rest of Europe in the future. The project is managed by a dedicated Auchan business team and Aldata is providing delivery and support services.
Auchan selected G.O.L.D. Topase after an extensive study of the solutions available in the market. A significant factor in the decision was Aldata's experience in retail and the fact that G.O.L.D. Topase is operationally well-established for both food and non-food products. The Aldata G.O.L.D. Topase solution was felt to be the most suited to Auchan's main business objectives: stock level optimisation and replenishment productivity.
Mark Croxton, Aldata UK managing director, said, "Aldata is now retained by most of the largest french food retailers, including Carrefour and Casino, for supply chain management solutions, and the company has emerged as the dominant vendor in this sector."
