Tang also brings expertise in contract negotiation and quality control. Over the past 15 years he has served in a variety of manufacturing operations and supply chain positions with companies including Solectron, SanDisk, and Trimble Navigation.
"Alex has hands-on experience in all aspects of supply chain management and his experience with Chinese and Asian operations is particularly strong," states André S. Eriksen, Asetek's CEO. "His deep strategic vision is necessary to build a highly efficient supply chain as we ramp volume with our Chinese manufacturing partners and suppliers. Alex brings the key skills we need to assure that our supply chain can meet the expectations set by our world class OEM customers.
Asetek has re-engineered the value proposition for liquid cooling making it reliable, maintenance free and affordable. Leading PC manufacturers can now offer the low-noise and high performance benefits once not practical for large volume OEM manufacturing.
"My experience has taught me well that success as an OEM supplier demands a supply chain team that delivers consistent high quality, on-time delivery, the short lead-times and cost-down," stated Alex Tang, Asetek's VP of Supply Chain. "I look forward to working with our manufacturing and vendor partners as well as the fine supply chain team at Asetek to delivery these results."
Alex holds an MBA in Marketing from Santa Clara University as well as a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from University of Oregon. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
