APICS partners with Ivy Tech to elevate the logistics education programs
APICS The Association for Operations Management recently announced an agreement that will elevate the logistics education programs at Indiana's second largest public post-secondary institution, Ivy Tech Community College.

According to Supply Chain Market, APICSlinks' Central Indiana Chapter (APICS-CIND) will now offer APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) classes at 18 campuses across the state.

"It is a tremendous honor for APICS to offer advancement opportunities to America's future supply chain and operations management professionals," said Sarah C. Varner, CAE, Deputy Executive Director, APICS. "This agreement provides residents of the state of Indiana an opportunity to receive world-renowned certifications and build their professional credentials. We are proud that APICS-CIND has partnered with Ivy Tech to offer the APICS certification classes."

"This agreement takes full advantage of the demonstrated abilities of Ivy Tech to distribute training classes through its network of community campuses and of APICS-CIND to administer certification review classes," said Todd Rokita, Indiana Secretary of State. "With these agreements, APICS-CIND is advancing economic initiatives throughout the state and helping Hoosiers realize their workplace potential."

APICS certifications are recognized worldwide as standards of professional excellence and quality within the manufacturing and service industries. The APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program provides professionals with the knowledge necessary to understand and manage the integration and coordination of activities within today's supply chains. The APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program provides professionals with expertise to achieve excellence in production and inventory practices within their organizations.
