"We have three regional
businesses that will benefit from using Zemeter software," said Jon Staley, demand chain manager at Akzo Nobel. "We selected the Zemeter S&OP solution because of its reliable forecasting and planning characteristics and the ease with which it integrates with our SAP ERP system."Zemeter Supply Planner software has the ability to maximize margins and quickly handle demand and/or supply disruptions. Zemeter is a sophisticated tool for evaluating planned changes to markets including sourcing patterns, capacity, transportation and distribution.
"The Zemeter software helps us get a tighter handle on the millions of dollars worth of inventory we deal with monthly," said Staley. "We manufacture globally more than 2,000 chemical products and more than 5,000 active SKUs."
Akzo Nobel Surfactants also found that Zemeter software was easy to integrate and implement when one of the regional businesses nearly doubled in size with the addition
of two new manufacturing facilities. Zemeter will allow Akzo Nobel Surfactants to operate with the same supply chain management software globally.
"Managing the supply chain in the chemical and processing industries is an extremely complex task," said Dominick Corigliano, vice president of sales and marketing for Supply Chain Consultants. "Our software helps break down organizational silos and optimizes the usefulness of already existing information."
