Ocean Spray, an agricultural cooperative of cranberry and grapefruit growers, has announced that it has selected INSIGHT Inc. as its strategic supply chain design optimization software provider.

"INSIGHT best understands the functionality and power needed to solve the increasingly complex issues of supply chain planning. Their focus on strategic supply chain design makes them the best choice for Ocean Spray," said Ron Day, of Ocean Spray.

According to the news release by SCDE, Jeffrey Karrenbauer, president of Insight Inc., added: "Fruit growers and beverage producers have seasonal supply and demand issues that are inherently complex. INSIGHT'S flagship software, sails 21R, incorporates features that directly address seasonality in the larger context of supply chain strategy and design."

Other factors that Ocean Spray took into consideration include the software's ease of use, support services, training, straightforward system administration, cost, scalability and integration with Microsoft Office.
