ADS Logistics, LLC (ADS), the national provider of integrated supply chain services to the metals industry, announced today it has entered into agreement with SeverCorr to provide integrated logistics services to SeverCorr's new next generation steel plant in the Columbus, mississippi area.
According to Business Wire, SeverCorr has selected ADS to provide LoMaS® functionality to control their outbound supply chain. LoMaS®' Transportation Management System and EDI functionality will be the systems tool which SeverCorr logisticians use to manage the ordering of equipment, load building, dock scheduling, bill of lading creation, and carrier management (rail and truck).
"ADS was one of many potential systems suppliers to SeverCorr," stated Mikhail Smirnov, Vice President Finance for SeverCorr. "We selected ADS however, based on their experience and knowledge of the industry, and the implementation is progressing just as ADS promised. We eagerly anticipate using the many tools LoMaS® provides."
"ADS' history with mills, processors, and automotive customers, our existing systems interface with many of these critical supply chain participants, as well as our accurate and timely EDI messaging, contributed to our successful achievement of this award process," commented Gordy Gustafson, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for ADS. "We have a proven track record of excellence, and we're delighted to have been chosen by this new next generation steel mill. LoMaS® is unparalleled in serving the metals industry with supply chain management tools."
