Accenture Executive to Present Supply Chain Best Practices for the Beverage Industry
Filed in archive Special Events on August 15, 2006
Accenture's Robert B. Lennox will discuss supply chain best practices for the beverage industry in his presentation, "Integrating Inventory Optimization with Supply Chain Network Design," at the LogicTools Symposium on September 14th in Chicago, Business Wire reported.
"There is a significant opportunity for companies in the beverage industry to improve supply chain performance with new approaches to network design and inventory optimization," said Lennox, senior manager in Accenture's Supply Chain Management practice. "The sophisticated optimization tools that we're helping clients deploy are enabling them to capture sustainable benefits."
Lennox will discuss industry and economic drivers behind the recent renewed focus on supply chain network inventory optimization. These drivers include larger, more complex global supply chains; longer, more variable lead times from offshore suppliers; and an increase in inventory carrying costs.
LogicTools' symposium and user conference, Sept. 14 and 15, is the premier forum to meet analysts and practitioners and learn about the latest industry developments, trends, and technology for supply chain professionals. Leaders from industry and academia such as Accenture, enVista, Gartner, GE Healthcare, Limited Brands, MIT, Pepsi-Americas, PRTM Management Consultants, SAP and others will present.
