AAPN organizes a supply chain event for march 2007
Filed in archive Special Events on December 8, 2006
I noticed through a news release in Textile World that a SCM event is going to be held at Atlanta next year. The American Apparel Producers' Network (AAPN), Atlanta, will host this supply chain meeting, on March 11-13, 2007, at the loews Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, California.
In addition to AAPN members including fiber, yarn, textiles, contractors, trim, technology and transportation executives, AAPN is inviting West Coast-based brands, producers, designers and retailers.
The agenda is built around a significant West Coast member of the AAPN, Teresa Nersesyan, VP of Pacific Sunwear. The agenda, which will be conducted in an interactive executive town meeting format, will focus on four parts:
Branding and trends in the industry
Building supply chains to include trim, textiles and testing skills
The impact of technology on global collaboration
Sourcing from the Western Hemisphere
To register or for more information, log onto www.aapnetwork.net or contact Mike Todaro at miketodaro@mindspring.com. Mike also has a nice blog here. If you are interested in SCM in the apparel industry, I'm sure you will enjoy.
