A short interview on supply chain risk management
Filed in archive General on August 20, 2007
Risk management in the context of supply chains has become a big issue. AMR Research publishes reports on risk issue and the importance of response management and even professors in academia (e.g. Yossi Sheffi of MIT) publish an entire book on the subject. Having said that, I encourage you to watch the video below:
In this video, Dr. Richard Wilding - Professor of supply chain risk management, Cranfield School of Management talks about supply chain risk reduction through effective collaboration, the concept of T-shaped people (people who go deep into their function but also collaborate with other functions) and Time Process Mapping.
The video is a bit general and maybe it has too much repetition of buzz words but in this kind of short videos, usually you don't have a choice. Anyway it's good to take a look at it, hope you enjoy!
